What we offer the instructors:

• The highest per-CE hour rate paid in the industry - $125, compared to $45 and $55 per hour paid at other conventions
• Lodging for the instructor is paid for by the Festival, from the night before your class through the night of your class
• Lodging for assistants is paid for by the Festival (double occupancy with other TAs, same days as the instrutor)
• $500 flat rate travel allowance, no receipts needed
• No charge to place your brochures or class schedules in the registrant "goodie bags"
• Free door prize tickets for instructors - No raffles here
• Free admission to any entertainment or special program at the Festival for both instructors & assistants
• A plain & simple contract that does not require an attorney to decipher it
• A certificate of appreciation for supporting the Festival

What we expect from instructors:

• WMF REQUIRES that ALL class handouts and printed information for students are to be printed by the instructor and given to the therapists in class. This information is not to be emailed to the therapist with instructions on printing them out. We are paying instructors $125 per hour, as opposed to the $55 and $45 paid by other conventions. Therapists have paid to register for your classes and should not be expected to print out the class handouts. For those coming in from outside the country, they will not be permitted entry to the US if they are found to be coming solely to attend classes. Some have been stopped at the border and refused entry when they had printed materials on them.
• The WMF will provide a projection screen for your classroom. ALL OTHER audio equipment (such as speakers, PA systems, mics, etc) and visual equipment (such as projectors) are the responsibility of the instructor. If you do not own the equipment yourself, it may be rented from the hotel. We can provide you with contact information for equipment rental.
• Instructors will provide a certificate of completion of their class(es) for each attendee.

There is no monetary compensation, travel expenses or lodging provided for these classes. It is designed to provide exposure for you and your programs to WMF attendees and for us to use as a guide for selecting instructors and modalities for future FESTIVALS. This is a new way of offering classes that Mike calls "Fast Track" classes. It affords students the opportunity to find out if they are really interested in a modality before sinking thousands of dollars into it. It will allow instructors to reach hundreds of potential therapists.

Our Festival attendees are, for the most part, independent therapists. They do not belong to associations, most have never attended a massage convention before and are eager to attend classes, expand their knowledge base and be able to offer more modality choices to their clients.

If you would like to have a booth in the vendor/exhibit hall for the weekend, we would like to offer you a $50 discount on your registration fees if you are "Fast Track" instructor .... and instructors have been very successful vending at the World Massage Festival! OR, if you prefer, we will offer you the same discount to take workshops yourself during the Festivbal.
