Ruthie Piper Hardee is the founder of Deepfeet Bar Therapy. Ruthie pioneered barefoot massage utilizing overhead bars for what's known today as Ashiatsu massage. She created the first nationally approved course-study ever for western barefoot effleurage and the modality-technique has enhanced the careers of thousands of therapists all over the world, especially those who suffer from lumbar pain, wrist and hand problems. Hardee also invented the Ashiatsu Portable Bar apparatus which revolutionized teaching barefoot massage outside the classroom walls and allowed therapists to offer barefoot mobile out calls. Students will learn a handful of western ashiatsu techniques performed on the floor while holding onto a silk attachment. The 4 hour class is just a sample of our 2 day, 16-hour DeepFeet Sarga Silks Course. DeepFeet Sarga Silks is ideal for mobile therapists, therapists that cannot install overhead bars or anyone seeking NEW barefoot methods to enhance and enrich their massage practice. What to bring: a set of sheets, massage table with a cable release so it lays flat (all earthlite tables have a cable release) 32" and over ideal. Lubrication is provided.
